Carnival
It was a humid June night of carnival noises and puffed clouds. The sun was beginning to set, imbuing everything it touched with a warmth of color that only happens at dusk. Alice danced her way down the cobblestone streets in a rainbow tutu of her choosing toward her beloved carousel, forsaking all games and luring prizes along the way. She only had eyes for saddling up to a kitty eating a fish. They whirled and smiled, and then it was Milo's turn to pick - a train ride. That happy face! Then they were off again to bob around on the boats together. We polished off the night with a funnel cake covered in strawberries (SOOOOO GOOOOOOD) while we listened to a rockin' cover band playing all our favorite 90's tunes.
Thanks, Blair, for some blissful childhood memories at the Gateway to the West festivities! We sure love our city...
